King Khalid Foundation and Mowgli Mentoring graduate social entrepreneurs from the pioneering Athar Mentoring

The King Khalid Foundation and Mowgli Mentoring celebrated the graduation of 27 social entrepreneurs and mentors engaged in the Athar Mentoring Programme.

Delivered inline with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, the Athar Mentoring Programme was established to develop the skills of mentors and social entrepreneurs who have innovative and scalable businesses in the Kingdom. Through holistic mentoring focused on personal and professional development, the programme also supported the development of managerial and leadership skills which are essential in excelling in the field of social entrepreneurship.

Inher speech, Her Royal Highness Princess Nouf Bint Muhammad emphasized on the harmony of the Foundation’s programs with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, and the importance of the small and medium-sized companies sector. The Princess declared; “As usual, King Khalid Foundation is proud to implement pioneering programmes, which promote equal opportunities, empowerment and sustainability, in harmony with the Kingdom’s vision. Her Highness also praised the fruitful cooperation Mowgli Mentoring stating, “we are also pleased with the cooperation with Mowgli in this programme and its contribution towards creating a healthy and developmental environment for social entrepreneurship.”

Mowgli Mentoring’s CEO Kathleen Bury who was also in attendance shared; “we’re honored to have taken this journey with the King Khalid Foundation, training mentors within the Saudi ecosystem to effectively support social entrepreneurs. Through mentoring, we’ve seen an increase in their confidence and resilience. The participants have also developed their personal and professional leadership qualities enabling them to better structure and progress their ideas and businesses forward, and secure investment. This impact is a true testimony of the undeniable power of mentoring when combined with other entrepreneurship support initiatives such as business skills training and access to finance. We look forward to continue working together with KKF to positively impact peoples’ lives through initiatives that enhance the Kingdom’s social and economic development.”

During the programme, participants were able to develop their self-awareness, leadership capabilities, as well as key managerial and soft skills such as active listening and communication. They also built a strong relationship as peers and benefit from the experienced pool of professionals who were trained as mentors. They now join Mowgli Mentoring’s growing alumni network in the Middle East and Africa, and benefit from continuous learning and development.
