Maia Gedde

Maïa Gedde joined Mowgli Mentoring (now The Human Edge) in 2018 as Head of Development. In this role she has been supporting the organisation to grow, developing a strategy to increasing the accessibility of effective mentoring by broadening Mowgli Mentoring (now The Human Edge)´s product and service offers, as well as forging partnerships to embed mentoring into broader entrepreneur support programmes. As an entrepreneur herself, she believes in the impact of effective mentoring, and encourages every entrepreneur to find their mentor. Maïa has over 15 years’ experience working in International Development and Private Sector Development. Prior to joining Mowgli Mentoring (now The Human Edge) she lived in East Africa, as Country Manager for SPARK in Rwanda and Burundi, and has also set up a small business there. Maïa´s two passions outside of work are building tiny houses and writing. She has published two books, Working in International Development and Humanitarian Assistance, (2015, Routledge) and Working in International Health (2011, OUP).
