As a senior international development specialist, passionate about creating sustainable change and impact, who has personally experienced the impact of mentoring, Saida Joined Mowgli Mentoring (now The Human Edge) as Business Development Manager – MENA in May 2022, to expand the reach of effective and quality mentoring in the MENA region. In her role, she is leading the business development efforts in the MENA region, supporting the organisation in forging local and regional partnerships to build mentoring cultures and embed mentoring in the entrepreneurial ecosystems and entrepreneur support programmes.
Saida has over 14 years of experience in International Development with a particular focus on entrepreneurship, economic and institutional development, and holds a Master’s degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom.
In her previous role, Saida was the Director of Programmes and Business Development at Al Jidara Consulting Services. She has led the initiation and setting of goals for the company according to the strategic objectives, and
devised evaluation strategies to monitor performance and determine the need for improvements. She has also led programme design, work plan sessions, strategic design through multi stakeholder participatory sessions, and supervised proposal writing and capture management of multiple various opportunities, both as the prime implementing organisation, and as an exclusive sub partner within larger consortiums.
She has also supervised and managed the implementation of various
projects in Jordan and the region, acting as the projects’ focal point between the donors and stakeholders/beneficiaries.
Outside of work, Saida enjoys exploring the outdoors through hiking and cycling trips, fuelled by her addiction to kickfit and body combat workouts, and travels at every opportunity she gets (when opportunity does not present itself to her, she presents herself to it !…)
