LONDON, UK – 23 September 2025 – The Human Edge is delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Preston, leadership expert and CEO of Ducis Advisors, to its Board of Directors.
Craig brings deep, cross-sector experience in leadership, strategic clarity and performance under pressure. Over a career that has taken him across the military, corporate and consulting worlds, he has worked alongside CEOs, executive teams and frontline leaders to help them lead well in high-stakes, complex environments.
His leadership journey stretches over four decades and multiple regions. He served 18 years as a British Army Officer, including operational tours in Northern Ireland and Bosnia before moving into executive roles at Coca-Cola Enterprises and Aon. He later served as Managing Director of Inspirational Development Group, a global consultancy which developed leaders across all continents, particularly the Middle East, including the UAE, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and Jordan.
“The Human Edge understands something many organisations overlook: that even the best strategies won’t deliver lasting change without people who are equipped to lead, adapt and connect. They use mentoring not just as a tool, but as a foundation for that kind of leadership. I’m honoured to join the Board at a time when investing in that kind of leadership is more urgent and more valuable than ever.”
Craig’s appointment reflects our continued commitment to thoughtful leadership and strategic growth, as we deepen our work with partners, foundations, CSR & ESG teams, public institutions and SMEs across diverse contexts.
“Craig’s insight strengthens our ability to support the kind of human-centred leadership needed in today’s world: focused, agile and grounded in trust,” said Kat Bury, CEO of The Human Edge. “What I really value is that he hasn’t just delivered leadership programmes, he’s grown a leadership organisation across regions and cultures, with a long-term view of what leaders and organisations truly need. He brings strategic clarity, operational depth and a strong belief in the power of mentoring, not just as a tool, but as a key strategic element of how leadership is developed and applied in the real world.”
As CEO of Ducis Advisors, Craig currently works with executive leaders and teams to strengthen leadership capability, build high-performing cultures and navigate change with confidence. His philosophy echoes The Human Edge’s belief that meaningful change starts with people, through trust, clarity and purposeful leadership.
His appointment comes at a time of significant momentum for The Human Edge, which has delivered over 190 programmes globally, trained and supported the growth of more than 4,200 individuals and capacity built over 60 organisations to embed effective mentoring initiatives and leadership cultures that strengthen performance and impact long after funding and budget cycles end.
From working with small businesses to supporting large-scale mentoring initiatives, The Human Edge continues to support long-term impact through a human-centred approach, practical tools and real relationship-building.
