THE NEXT SOCIETY (TNS) Trains 76 Mentors in North Africa

Over the past last quater, the Mowgli Mentoring team with the support of our TNS partners; Sylabs (Algeria), Egypt Innovate and General Authority for Investment & Free Zones (GAFI) (Egypt), R&D Maroc & Startup Maroc (Morocco), and Conect & API Tunisie (Tunisia) have delivered a total of 8 mentoring activities within the 4 countries; four Mentoring Awareness Sessions and four Mentor Training Programs in Algeria, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia.

As we close out the second year of our four year EU Funded project, we have delivered a total of 19 mentoring activities across the 7 targeted countries; 11 in the Middle East (Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine) and 8 in North Africa (Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, and Tunisia). Through these programs we have seen over 150 people engage with mentoring, which has seen 76 mentors trained and 9 entrepreneurs directly mentored through our structured program.

As we look to the beginning of the third year, we are excited to continue working with our TNS partners to further build the recognition of mentoring as a vital and cost-effective tool of developing human capital. We will continue to build the capacity of entrepreneurial and innovation support organisations by training a further 40+ mentors and matching a further 27 high growth potential entrepreneurs through regional mentoring programs, beginning with our North Africa regional program in Q1 of 2019.

Watch our program participants share more about how the program has enhanced their active listening skills and capabilities, and given them a platform to give back to society and empower others by sharing their life experiences.
